Who Are We?

If you are like most dentists, you have used a consultant at least one time in your career. If not, you have come close. If you actually pulled the trigger, it is likely that you gained some information from them, and possibly even changed the way you were doing some things in your office. It is even more likely that most things you tried to change, or desired to change, just did not see the light of day.

Oh, maybe they worked for a while, but something about bad habits…they seem to win every time.

Well, we are not a consulting firm.  Consultants advise, then move on to advise someone else. They are not attached to the results.  Their one and only one job is to deliver opinions.  Some good. Some bad. Most worthless, because they do not really know you and your dental practice.

We are an operations management firm.  We are attached to the outcomes.  We expect our clients to get positive results and to that end we discuss what needs to be done in the office and then we do it. See the difference?

 


Meet Our Staff

Your office is unique, and HMS will build a protocol for your office which takes into account your desires, beliefs and commitments. Demographics, the economy and the abilities of the current team are all considered, but what you will not find is a cookie-cutter approach.

 

Maybe it would help to think of us in the framework of a dental office.  A profitable, vivacious and growth-minded dental practice will always have efficient systems in place to sequentially and effectively get from Point A to Point B.

1. Collect two classes of data

Dental (health history, radiographs, charting, soft tissue exam, head and neck evaluation, etc.) and

Emotional (desires of the patient, their needs and preferences, as well as financial outlook, time constraints, etc.)
2. Make a diagnosis from the collected dental data
3. Develop a differential treatment plan based on all data collected
4. Discuss the treatment plans with the patient, and decide on one or more that will work, and which are agreed upon by both parties
5. Surgically intervene to meet the needs of the plans
6. Follow up to insure the outcome is satisfactory

HMS is like this dental office. Research, intervention and follow up. In fact, we never leave your side. 

HMS does where other firms talk about having it done.

When HMS recommends a solution or process, we get in and do the process. We do not simply recommend that the doctor do it, much less have it done by someone else.
